The slowly revealed text tells of the almost accidental encounter with objects and the process of discovery, appropriation, and attribution of sentimental values by the collector. The description of the movements necessary to lift, observe, and detect details is inspired by those who work in landfills today, still called ragpickers, after those who, at the beginning of the 19th century, collected and recycled the garbage that the modern city had begun to produce in massive quantities.
